With the freedom that is allowed by this whole self-publishing movement, it has encouraged me to look at past projects.  There are several of my plays that I have decided to either publish as is or develop into a novel form.  The cool thing about publishing these projects independently is that I can produce them in a format that I think might work better than the standard or pre-determined format that has been established by the existing publishing companies.

I understand their concern for a standard style, but (as an actor and a teacher) sometimes that format is not as useful or easy to read as it could be.  I'm hoping to be able to publish my plays with some adaptations that make them easier for younger kids to follow and with some fun touches that make them more appealing and attractive to read.  For example:  I've decided to include illustrations and cartoons for my upcoming script, "Shakespeare 101".
