Weather and writing

Even with laptops and all the new technology, writing is still pretty much and indoor sport.  Today, here, by the Cascade foothills, the weather bodes well for a healthy day of writing.  I have a play for children to finish by this afternoon and it is so gloomy and drizzly outside that I should be able to stay focused on my computer screen.

Put a question out to you writers out there.  How many of you live in cold or moody climates?  Or are there actually some writers in San Diego or Miami where the sunny days far outnumber the type of weather here which often resembles that found in a Bronte novel?
