Casting Bugs

Over the past two days, watched and listened to 50 young (elementary school) actors and their auditions for a place in the cast of "Bayou Bug Tales".  Casting is always the most fun and most difficult part of the job.  They were all adorable and some were very talented.  Now my job is to match the child with the role that will enable them to do the best job they can and challenge them to grow and take risks.  Imagining some of them in the roles of the many bugs and pollywogs and butterflies is the cool part.  They are all so eager and excited to hear what character they are playing.  Off to my spreadsheet to play the matching game.
